Back in 2009, we set out to build a solution that connected complex sales and design processes for companies that build and sell highly configurable products. Kevin wrote his first configurator in 2003 to support a new fluid delivery system for semiconductor machines (which he patented). He is one of our original founders and a huge evangelist for the power of configurators. He lives in Portland where he enjoys golf, fly fishing, and his two young children (not in that order).
Bill is one of our original founders who spent over 30 years in semiconductor industry sales, notably at Texas Instruments for 17 years. He dealt with the pain of quoting and delivering custom products firsthand. Bill lives on Lake Travis in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and is a huge Cowboys fan.
Luigi wrote his first software when he was eight years old and started his first company, the first Internet Service Provider in the area, while he was still in university. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and proceeded to found six other tech companies. As a KBMax Co-Founder, Luigi leads our Research and Development because he loves finding new technologies to keep KBMax 'on the edge'. He's proud to say that he has seen more of the USA and Greece then an average American or Greek residents.
Kris was the very first KBMax employee hired in 2009. He enjoys working with customers, helping them to understand the power and scalability of our technology, and getting them to be forward thinking about cloud-based enterprise software. Kris lives with his wife and two children in Denver, CO, where he loves to run.
Corrado was a Sales Manager at Expace (a CAD Vendor) and a Managing Director at Nuovamacut Engineering (the largest Italian SolidWorks reseller). As the VP of EMEA Sales and a Co-founder of KBMax, he focuses on expanding our business globally and increase our footprint in EMEA specifically. Corrado knows more than anyone else about wine.
Kevin has over two decades of experience helping customers transform their manufacturing, product development, and sales. As KBMax's VP of US Sales, he is obsessed with customer success and solving the issues that manufacturers are experiencing today. Twenty years ago, Kevin started working in the product configuration space because he wanted a hard problem to solve. Two years ago he came to KBMax because we made it easy to solve the problem.
AJ graduated from Virginia Tech and instantly got bit by the configurator bug while working as an application engineer for the custom truck manufacturer, Altec. He developed his own successful internal tool and decided to pursue a career in CPQ. AJ is our Senior Solutions Engineer whipping up demos and materials to easily show the power of our platform. He lives in Sacramento where he loves snowboarding and tubing.
Lauren has over 11 years of marketing experience and has learned from industry experts at companies like HP and Salesforce. As the Director of Marketing at KBMax, she loves creating compelling and valuable customer and partner experiences. She was raised in California, but now lives in Charleston, SC. Growing up her nickname was "Spaz."
John was previously a Mechanical Engineer at the NASA Kennedy Space Center, an Application Engineer at CF Design, and then an Account Manager at Trimech and SmartUQ. As an Account Executive at KBMax, he guides our prospective customers along the exploration path of the KBMax solution to show how we can help solve their major business issues. John once worked on a project that allowed him to fly aboard the Space Shuttle.
Prior to KBMax, DJ was Director of Marketing at a successful software company where he helped establish their new SaaS business. He is a long-time marketing consultant and technologist, helping companies with marketing strategy, re-branding, digital marketing tools, campaigns, and web design. He brings his wealth of knowledge across web experiences, product marketing, and lead generation to the KBMax team in order to help get the word out about our transformative solutions.He resides in St. Louis with his wife, two sons, and two dogs where he enjoys woodworking, building and playing guitars and basses, and tending to a nearly constant running smoker filled with pork shoulders or ribs.
Joe has over 20 years of sales experience in the IT industry, including roles at Force10 Networks, Dell, and Cyan. As a Senior Account Executive at KBMax, Joe helps customers implement best-in-class technology to create a competitive advantage. Joe enjoys time spent with his family, travel, sporting events, and has been known to dabble in home brewing.
Tyler earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He has over 15 years of experience in the design and manufacturing space and has learned from industry experts at companies like Autodesk and SOLIDWORKS. Tyler is the Solutions Engineer at KBMax where he's passionate about solving problems for customers so they can achieve their bigger goals. Tyler lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and three young children. He loves backcountry skiing, hiking peaks and building Legos with his kids.
Lauren has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Cornell and an MBA from UT Austin. She had years of experience managing IT projects for the semiconductor and airline industries. Lauren functions as our Director of Services ensuring our customers are happy. She’s a California girl currently living in Dallas with her 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 pairs of cowboy boots.
Doug graduated from California Polytechnic State University with an engineering degree and started creating custom product configurators immediately. His experience ranges from automating front-end sales & quoting to back-end engineering & manufacturing for the aerospace, sheet metal, and semiconductor industries. As a senior member of our implementation team, Doug leads projects for our customers. Doug lives in the San Luis Obispo area where he enjoys wine and classic cars.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, JoAnna was a team manager for a company contracting with the department of defense.In her role as the Senior Implementation Engineer at KBMax, she's responsible for scoping, designing, and implementing projects for our customers. Her life goal is to save all pit bulls everywhere.
Kirk joined us from Merck Millipore where he worked as a Systems Analyst on future directions bridging the gap between business and IT. At KBMax, Kirk leads our training program to ensure our customers and partners can easily learn our platform and maintain it moving forward. Kirk lives outside Washington, D.C. where he loves to mountain bike.
Crystal received her Computer Integrated Manufacturing Degree from Purdue University. She gained experience in the industry as a Design Engineer and developed a love for Parametric CADD (especially SolidWorks). As an Implementation Engineer at KBMax, Crystal helps our customers like ALW, Trinity and Stellar Industries with their implementations. She played Viola for 10 years and her high school won the Indiana State Orchestra Championship in 1995.
Eric graduated from Virginia Tech with a BSME and a minor in Green Engineering. Afterward, he worked on Altec's Applications Engineering and Product Development teams where he designed bucket trucks, digger derricks, and cranes. He then became a Mechanical Design Engineer at ONICON, Inc where he helped design their electromagnetic flowmeters. As a member of our Implementation team, Eric works with our customers to design and build configurators, specifically ones involving complex 3D scenes. He can quote most episodes of "Friends" verbatim.
Before joining KBMax, Mauro was a Software Developer at Nuovamacut Spa (SolidWorks vendor in Italy) where he specialized in CAD configurators and PDM implementations. In his role at KBMax, he strives to understand our customers' needs while designing and implementing configurators and 3D scenes for their use cases. Mauro loves traveling to discover local traditions and foods.
Prior to KBMax, Roberto was a Java Developer at Infosys & Conduent. In his current role, he builds interactive 3D models, custom user interfaces and advanced product rules that automate the design/quote process. He always wants to understand our customers' needs and requirements to design and develop a fully integrated solution for them. Roberto is a passionate Scuba Diver and it's currently working to get his Diving Instructor Certificate.
Jason held roles in management and engineering at Rodney Hunt Company and then founded Hydraulic Steel Structures Engineering. While there, he specialized in engineering design and analysis for the water control industry servicing the municipal, hydropower, and flood control markets. As an Implementation Engineer at KBMax, Jason leads our configurator development process for several of our customers. Jason likes to attend a couple race car driving schools every summer and gets laps in at local short tracks.
Shelby spent 22.5 years in the legal world as a litigation paralegal. She's an Executive Assistant at KBMax where she keeps everything moving smoothly. Shelby can see Austin's Lake Travis from her patio.
Rand has developed websites and web applications since 2000 in various industries, including internet traffic analysis, private social networking, and multimedia entertainment. As the front-end engineer at KBMax, Rand develops user-friendly and intuitive interfaces for our software, as well as communicating with the services team to discuss necessary improvements as they are requested by our customers. His Great Grandfather helped invent the blind rivet, which helped get us into the jet age.
Nikos studied biomedical engineering and had the opportunity to develop software for the healthcare sector. Nikos is a software engineer focusing on our back-end development. He now has over 14 years of software development experience and contributes to open-source testing tools. He lives in Zlín, Czech Republic with his wife, son, and daughter. Nikos is an encyclopedia of Greek culture and hates cold weather.
Ray has 15 years of experience designing interfaces and developing websites, working with a wide gamut of clients from architecture firms to universities, startups and large online bookstores.As a front-end engineer for KBMax, Ray is guiding the development of new interfaces and tools for configurators with a focus on getting the best user experience on the widest range of platforms possible.Ray lives in upstate New York with his wife, daughter, and cat, where he enjoys cooking foods of all cultures, throwing pottery, and shoveling snow.
Hailing from Rhode Island, Dave graduated college with degrees in Computer Science and Art. Before becoming a front-end software engineer at KBMax, Dave founded two startups, and worked as a UI designer and software engineer for several companies ranging from search engine marketing to big data integration.As a Christian, Dave is always looking for creative ways to help those around him during his down time, and also finds working out and running to be a great outlet for decompressing after a long day.An avid coffee drinker and cafe frequenter, you can read about his adventures in the coffee shops of RI in his blog: coffee401.com
